An identity that has been transmitted to them, from those before them, leading all the way to the source – Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Shaykh Yahya Rhodus is in Malaysia for the annual symposium for the scholarship of Imam Al-Haddad (1634-1720) organized by Amanah Hawi Al-Khairat. He began his study of Islam with Shaykh Hamza Yusuf and then at Dar al-Mustafa in Tarim, Hadhramout in theology, legal theory and Arabic poetry under the likes of Habib ‘Umar binHafiz and Habib ‘Ali al-Jifri. He has a B.A. in Near Eastern Studies at the University of California, Berkeley and a M.A. in Islamic Studies at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley Keys to the Revival: An Analytical Study of the Architecture of Al Ghazali’s Ihya’ ‘Ulum Al-Din Center for Islamic Studies, With Honors. This year he begins his PhD at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom, with Shaykh Abdal-Hakim Murad @ Professor TJ Winter as his Supervisor.
