Podcast – Rhodus on Al-Ghazali’s Deliverance from Error

Here’s a podcast download of Shaykh Yahya Rhodus, on Malaysia’s talk radio, discussing Imam Al-Ghazali’s Deliverance from Error. We arranged this session with BFM Night School when he was in Kuala Lumpur for Haul of Imam Al-Haddad organized by Hawi Al-Khairat (Amanah HAK).

Click here to stream or download the podcast.

Al-Ghazali is arguably the greatest Muslim thinker of all time. In this episode, we reflect on Deliverance from Error, his spiritual biography, whereby he details his discovery of the path to The Truth. Join us as our special guest this week, Sheikh Yahya Rhodus, takes us through this text and its relevance for contemporary times.

yasmin ahmad hamza yusuf purification of the heart

In 2006, the late Yasmin Ahmad, Malaysia’s famous film director, wrote a book review in the New Straits Times and blogged about it too, click here to read it. The often sold-out book was Hamza Yusuf’s commentary and translation of a poem by the same title, Purification of the Heart written by Imam al-Mawlud.
