The spiritual journey include many routes. A number of the great spiritual figures in history, paid great attention what they ate, how it was prepared and where it came from. What’s the connection? How do we live this history in this day and age?

Permaculture is an approach to life, which significantly include food and in its application, many who try find their spiritual well-being getting better. Geoff and Nadia Lawton are among the top gurus of Permaculture today and have achieved and proven many amazing things through their work.

Geoff Lawton is a world renowned permaculture consultant, designer and teacher. He first took his Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) Course in 1983 with Bill Mollison, widely considered the “father of permaculture.” Geoff has undertaken thousands of jobs teaching, consulting, designing, administering and implementing, in 6 continents and over 50 countries around the world. Clients have included private individuals, groups, communities, governments, aid organizations, non-government organisations and multinational companies, including:

  • consultancy in the environmentally green, Masdar City in the United Arab Emirates
  • development work from the Greening the Desert projects in Jordan
  • rehydration strategies in the deserts of Hadramaut, Yemen
  • housing projects for the Kurds in Iraq after the war, rebuilding an entire village with 53 straw bale houses

He has currently educated over 15,000 students in Permaculture worldwide. Geoff has established permaculture demonstration sites that function as education centres in all the world’s major climates — information on the success of these systems is networked through www.permacultureglobal.org. Geoff established the Permaculture Research Institute and the www.permaculturenews.org website to network mainframe information worldwide.

Interview with Nadia Lawton by the online portal Green Prophet Permaculture is the Silver Green Bullet.

Nadia completed her PDC in the Dead Sea Valley in 1999 then proceeded to work on the “Green the Desert” project and establish permaculture women’s groups and school projects with this work. As reference she went on to complete her permaculture diploma in design, education and site development and registered as a permaculture teacher in English and Arabic with the Bill and Lisa Mollison’s permaculture Institute of Australia.

Nadia now lives in The Channon in Northern New South Wales, Australia at Zaytuna Farm the home of the Australian Permaculture Research Institute. Since 2003 she has been working with PRI as an international permaculture teacher, consultant and aid worker.
